§ 5.08.140. Peddlers or solicitors—Generally.

  • For every person peddling or soliciting orders for painting, pictures, photographs, books, magazines, publications, periodicals, wearing apparel, boots, shoes, dry goods, notions, groceries, hardware, sewing machines, washing machines, dryers, radios, television sets, machinery, automobiles, or any other goods, wares, or merchandise not otherwise specifically provided for in this chapter, for the purchase or sale of real property, unless licensed as a real estate broker hereunder, or for vegetables or fruit, the sum of the annual assessment as set by city council resolution except that this section shall not apply to persons having a fixed place of business which are licensed under this article.
